To edit the email template that is used on an action item, you will first start by going to the Settings > Action Types/Steps page.
Then, locate the action item whose email template(s) you would like to edit. We will use the Key/ Fob Request action item in this example. After you have located your action item, click on the dropdown arrow next to the action item to display the action item steps.
Now, find the step for the email template you would like to edit (if you see "Homeowner" in the Send To column, that indicates that this is a homeowner notification step). Click on the menu button (icon with three horizontal lines) to reveal your template options and select "Email."
After clicking on the "Email" option, the Edit Email Template screen will appear, allowing you to create and/ or edit your email template for that action item step.
When you are creating your email template, you can use tags from the Insert Tag box by selecting the tag you would like to insert and then clicking "Go." This will place the tag you have selected wherever your cursor is located on the template dialogue box.
In your email template, you may want to send out hyperlinks to your company's website or portal. To make sure that the hyperlink will work correctly, make sure that the hyperlink in your email template matches the web address in your Company Info screen.
Once you have made your changes be sure to click "Save", and then you're all set!
