Question: Why can't I see invoices that are ready to be paid?
One of your manager's is Bob. He's calling in and wondering why he can't access the Accounting > Pay Invoices screen, even though this is one of his assigned duties within the company. In order to help him we need to review the Portfolio/Responsibilities/Roles assigned to his user account.
Below, we see that Bob has been assigned the Manager Role.
Let's also check the permissions of that role. Navigate to Settings > Roles we can locate the securities allotted to this role, and see how they affect how Bob interacts with the task of paying invoices within Vantaca.
Here we see that Bob in fact does not have any "Permissions Allowed" in the Pay Invoices row. This explains why he is unable to interact, or even see the Accounting > Pay Invoices drop down when working in Vantaca. In order to make this change, just select Edit, and select both the View and Pay boxes.
If for whatever reason, you reach this step and find that Bob does in fact already have these security permissions allowed, make sure that you double check that his Portfolio is assigned to the Association that he is referencing. For example, if we find out that Bob is calling in about paying an invoice for Quidditch field maintenance for the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, we can see that, while his portfolio has the necessary permissions, it is not assigned to the necessary Association:
If you check Bob's role, and he has the right permissions, and you see that the association he's referencing is in his Portfolio, you can next check the Action Types/Steps screen to see if Bob's role is on that step.
