Question: "When I got a bank return notification, I tried to process a bank return on this owner, but I never saw the Return button in the Action Center. What happened?"
There are a couple of reasons why that Return button may not have shown in the Action Center when processing a bank return action item. Let's go through the possible scenarios.
Scenario #1: When creating the Bank Return action item on a homeowner's account, after hitting update from the Homeowner > Payment Search screen, you'll then go to that homeowner's account by drilling down next to the payment and hitting the Select button next to the homeowner. If you see the screen below, the homeowner's ledger, there's one more step you need to take:
You need to toggle to Homeowner > Action Items and select the Bank Return action item. Then you'll see the Return button appear in the Action Center.
Scenario #2: Perhaps you went back to All Action Items and found that Bank Return action item after creating it from the Payment Search screen, instead of going straight to the homeowner's ledger. If you step the action item before going to their account and clicking the Return button, you will not be able to go back to their account and find it in the Action Center. From that point, you'll have to void the Bank Return action item and start over.
