Copying an Action Item Workflow

Summary: This article will explain how to use the Copy function on an Action Type so that you can easily create new action item workflows without having to start from scratch.

Copy Action Type

Note: To use the Copy function, you'll need the Copy permission under Settings > Roles > Action Item > Action Types.

1. Go to Settings > Action Type/Steps and click the Copy button on the Action Type workflow you wish to copy.
The Copy Action Type screen displays with the applicable information from the copied action type. For example:

2. Enter information as needed, including the required Action Type. All information from the existing Action Type can be copied including the following Action Step details using the provided checkboxes:

- Instructions
- Letter
- Email
- Reports
- Documents 

3. Select the Copy button to complete.
