Action Item Steps can be configured to send automated and templated Emails both internally and externally. In this article, we'll discuss how to add and update those email templates so that your workflows say exactly what you want them to say.
To edit the email template that is used on an action item, navigate to Settings > Action Types/Steps.
Locate the Action Type for the email template(s) you would like to edit. Email templates are set on individual Steps. Click on the dropdown arrow next to the action item to display the action type steps.
Find the step for the email template you would like to edit (if you see "Homeowner" in the Send To column, that indicates that this is a homeowner notification step). Click on the Hamburger Menu button and select Email.
This will display the Edit Email Template screen. From this screen, you can create and/ or edit your email template for that action type step.
When creating an email template, can use Merge Tags from the Insert Tag field by selecting the tag you would like to insert and then clicking Go. Tags can be placed in the Description or Subject fields.
The Reply Method determines where your users can enter email replies. When used properly, this ensures that ONLY the reply comes back into Vantaca, not the entire email thread. Click Save to save your email template.
