Question: How does the Use Do Not Reply toggle work on action item steps?
Use Do Not Reply is a toggle on each action item step's Rule Configuration tab. When it's turned on, emails sent from that step come from the No-Reply email account configured under Mailroom > Email Accounts instead of a monitored mailbox.
To use Do Not Reply:
- Set up a No-Reply email account under Mailroom > Email Accounts if you haven't already. See the "No-Reply Email" article for setup instructions.
- Navigate to Settings > Action Types/Steps, find the step, and click Rules.
- On the Rule Configuration tab, turn on the Use Do Not Reply toggle.
- Emails sent from this step now come from the No-Reply email address.
Notes:
- The Reply Above, Reply Between, and None reply methods, and the per-template Reply Method setting on the Email Template tab, have been retired. Use Do Not Reply is now the only reply-related setting, and it applies per step instead of per template.
- This setting only controls which address the email sends from. It does not add a visible reminder to the email body. For that, add a Do Not Reply panel in the Email Designer. See the "Email Templates" article.
- If a step was previously set to Reply Method: Do Not Reply, it was migrated automatically and the Use Do Not Reply toggle is already on. No action is needed.
