The Recurring Payment onboarding screen appears when eligible homeowners log in to Vantaca Home. This screen streamlines recurring payment enrollment by guiding homeowners through a simple two-step setup process without requiring navigation through multiple screens.
If homeowners choose to skip recurring payment setup, the system offers Express Pay text message reminder enrollment (if the association has this feature enabled). Express Pay sends SMS text reminders three days before bills are due with a direct payment link. For more information, see the "How do I use Express Pay" article.
Notes:
Express Pay reminders are separate from Vantaca Pay's payment email notifications, which send automatically for events such as completed payments, recurring payment changes, and upcoming payment reminders. For more information, see the "Payment Email Notifications" article.
Note: If recurring payment is set up, the Express Pay text message reminder enrollment option does not display because automatic payments eliminate the need for payment reminders.

Express Pay Text Message Reminder Enrollment Option
How It Works
The Recurring Payment onboarding screen displays to homeowners (when enabled) who do not have recurring payments or auto draft configured and meet the criteria in the When the Screen Appears section. When eligible homeowners log in, the system displays a two-step workflow for setting up automatic payments:
- Step 1: Payment Method - Enter or select a saved payment method.
- Step 2: Payment Schedule - Configure payment frequency, payment date, and amount preferences.
The system prepopulates account information and automatically saves payment methods when homeowners proceed from Step 1 to Step 2.
Alternative Enrollment Paths
Homeowners have multiple ways to access recurring payment enrollment:
- Onboarding Screen: Displays automatically upon login when eligible (described in this article).
- Account Overview Page: Homeowners with zero balances can access recurring enrollment directly from the Payments menu or Account Overview page without needing to make a payment first.
- After Payment: The enrollment screen displays immediately after completing a one-time payment through a Pay Now link.
These multiple entry points ensure homeowners can set up automatic payments whenever it's convenient for them, regardless of their current account balance.
When the Screen Appears
The Recurring Payment onboarding screen displays for homeowners who meet all of these conditions:
- Do not have recurring payments configured
- Do not have auto draft configured
- Log in to an association with Vantaca Pay enabled
- Log in to an association that allows recurring payments
- Have a single property (the screen does not display for multiproperty accounts)
- Are not in the 30-day snooze window
- Are not board-only or ARC-only users (not homeowners)
- No other user on the account has recurring payments configured
The screen displays on first login for new homeowners and on subsequent logins for existing homeowners without recurring payments until they complete setup or snooze the prompt, in which case it reappears in 30 days.

If you select a date that has already passed this month, your first payment will process on that date next month.
