Question: "When I forward an email into Vantaca to process as an action item, the system recognizes the author as one of the presidents in Presidential Valley instead of me, the user. Why is that happening?"
Answer:
This can be a common occurrence when first going live in Vantaca because users have entered in their email addresses onto fake presidential accounts in Presidential Valley.
Therefore, when an email comes into Vantaca from that user's email, the system looks to match that email address with one on an owner account. Since it matches up with, let's say, John Adams, the system marks that user's email as John Adams' email, and makes him the Author.
The best way to fix this issue is to go into Presidential Valley, add the Email column to the Homeowner List, and type in user email addresses into the search field.
If that user's email is on any accounts, they will show in that screen. Go to those owner accounts, if more than one, and remove the user email address from the Contact Info screen, as well as the Login screen.
That action item that was originally created from the forwarded email will still show the president as the author, so if it needs to be on a different owner's account, you will want to copy the action item to a different owner/association, then void the action item that is connected to the wrong account.
