Question: Why is my budget not showing on my Income Statement?

Answer:

The budget screen in Vantaca is based on the fiscal year's starting month. The budget will need to be entered in the 20XX fiscal year screen according to when your fiscal year started. 

For example, let's say your HOA has a fiscal year start date of 10/1/2019, then the budget will need to be entered on the 2019 fiscal year screen not the 2020 screen even though most of the months will be taking place in 2020.

To navigate to this screen you will want to go to Accounting>Budget and select the correct Fiscal year.

Note: When preparing next year's budget, be aware that the budget screen only displays line items with existing budget values. Non-budgeted line items that appear with actuals on the income statement will not be visible on the budget screen. To include these items in your new budget, you'll need to add them manually.
