The Vantaca Manage mobile app includes a Maps feature that provides Managers and Inspectors with a visual interface for navigating association properties. Maps help you quickly locate properties, identify violations and work orders at a glance, and take action without searching through property lists.
Key features include:
- No new permissions or settings are required – if you have access to conduct an inspection for an association, you can view its map.
- Available in Offline mode. Complete inspections even when you don't have cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity. For more information, see the "Vantaca Manage App: Inspections" article.
- Maps are not tied to a specific action, so you can access them whether you're starting an inspection or just browsing properties.
- Search by property address or homeowner name.
- Easily recenter the map if you get off track.
- High-contrast icon system for outdoor use.
- Integration with existing inspection and property management workflows.
Important: Maps are currently available for iOS only. Android functionality is coming soon.

Access Maps
Maps are available for any association you have access to, regardless of your permission level. You can access maps whether you're starting an inspection or just browsing properties.
To access maps:
- Log in to the Vantaca Manage mobile app.
- Tap Associations at the bottom of the screen.
The Association page opens. - Tap the desired association to open it.
- Tap View Map (1).
This button appears whether you're starting an inspection or in the middle of an inspection.
The Map Screen
The map screen provides several navigation tools to help you move around and orient yourself.
Note: Maps display only properties for the selected association. Even if you can see neighboring associations when zoomed out, you will only see icons and property information for your selected association.
Map Controls and Navigation
- Search (1): Search by property address or homeowner name.
- Recenter (2): Tap to recenter the map on your location if you've scrolled too far.
- Blue beam indicator (3): Shows your current location and the direction you're facing (the beam rotates as you turn).
- View List (4): Tap to open the property list for this association.
- Start Inspection (5): Tap to start an inspection from the map. Ensure that you have enable Offline mode before you start the inspection, for more information, see the "Vantaca Manage App: Inspections" article.
To navigate around the map:
- Pinch in and out to zoom in and out.
- Drag to move around the map.
- Tap Recenter to return to your current location.
The map opens at a default zoom level that's close enough to avoid overwhelming you with too many icons. You can zoom out to see more properties, but the more you zoom out, the more icons and properties you'll see.
Property and Status Icons
The map uses high-contrast icons designed to be visible even in bright sunlight. Properties display status icons in addition to the default house icon (icons use consistent colors throughout the app):
Note: Properties can display multiple status icons simultaneously. For example, a property might show violation, work order, and ARC request icons if it has all three types of active items.
-
Property icon: Properties with no violations, work orders, or ARC requests. Every property displays this default icon as a baseline.
-
Inverted Property icon: When you return to the map after viewing a property, the selected property displays an inverted icon to show which property you were just viewing. This helps you keep track of where you were working.
-
Red Violation icon: Properties with active violations.
-
Blue Work Order icon: Properties with active work orders.
-
Purple ARC Request icon: Properties with active ARC requests.
-
Past Cure icon: Additional indicator for violations that are past their cure date.
Property and Homeowner Search
The search feature helps you quickly locate specific properties or homeowners:
- Tap the search bar at the top of the map.
- Enter either:
The search will find matches for any text you enter and sort them to help you identify the correct property.- A property address or partial address (e.g., "Lane").
- A homeowner name or partial name.
- Review the search results, which are organized by:
- Addresses that match your search term first.
- Homeowner names that match your search term second.
- When a property has more than one owner, the searched owner appears first in the result, followed by the property's other owners comma-separated.
- Select the desired property from the search results.
The Property Details page opens where you can perform many other actions.
Filtering the Map View
Use filtering to reduce map clutter and focus on specific types of properties.
Basic Filters
The map includes the following basic filter options:
- Violations: Tap to show only properties with violation icons (as shown in the previous example image).
- Work Orders: Tap to show only properties with work order icons.
- ARC: Tap to show only properties with ARC request icons.
Notes:
- Multiple filters: Tap multiple filters to view combinations (e.g., both violations and work orders).
- Clear filters: Tap a selected filter again to deselect it and return to viewing all properties.

The map provides a visual way to navigate to properties, but all actions are taken from the Property Details page.
To view property details and take action:
-
Tap any icon on a property. You can tap:
- The Property icon.
- Any status icon (violation, work order, ARC).
- Any combination of icons on the property.

Start Inspections from Maps
You can start inspections directly from the map view, providing a visual starting point for your inspection process.
To start an inspection from the map:
- Navigate to the map screen.
- Click Start Inspection.
The inspection begins for the entire association (not individual properties). - Use the map to visually navigate between properties during your inspection.
- Tap properties on the map to navigate directly to them and add violations or other items.
Note: Maps provide an alternative navigation method during inspections but the beginning and end of the inspection process does not change. For detailed inspection procedures, see the "Vantaca Manage App: Inspections" article.
FAQ
Q: How do I have the nearest property to me appear first on the Properties list?
A: From the Properties list tab, tap the Sort () icon located next to the search field and select Proximity. This will order properties from nearest to farthest based on your current location. The list will automatically update as you move. Note: Location Services must be enabled on your device for this feature to work.
