Question: I stepped my Violation Action Item to a step that should generate a letter to the homeowner, but nothing made it to the print queue. What's going on?
Answer
If your inspection letters are not sending to the print queue upon stepping your Violation Inspection action item to "Send Letters" using the mobile inspection module, then it is likely there is a key component missing in the action item setup.
To correct this you will want to first go to Settings > Action Types/Steps and find your Violation Inspection action item and use the arrow to the left of the item to drill down into the steps. You will want to click the Rules button on the Send Letters step and for the Additional Action field, use the drop down menu to select Send Inspection Letters to Homeowners and click Update.
That will allow your inspection letters to successfully send to the print queue when approving that item in the inspection module.
Additionally, ensure the inspection has been approved by navigating to Association > Inspections and clicking the Approve button. This allows the inspection to progress through the workflow to the Send Letters step, where communication can be sent to the intended owners.
