The Vantaca dashboard displays an overview of unread messages, a summary of your action items, notifications of recent updates, and provides an Action Center, Call Center, Unreconciled Items, and Scout (Vantaca's AI assistant) sections.

Dashboard
After you log into Vantaca, the dashboard displays:
- Back (1): Click to return to your previous page. The Back button preserves your selections (such as specific homeowners or associations) and maintains up to 25 pages in your session history. The button is disabled when no previous pages are available or when modals are open, and only tracks full page loads.
- Home (2): Click to return to the dashboard at any time.
- XN Search (3): Enter an action item XN number and hit the search icon to open that action item's details screen. It also keeps your last 10 searches in a dropdown. This search history remains even after you log out.
- New Action Item (4): Click to create an action item from anywhere in Vantaca without leaving your current screen. It only shows action types where your role matches the default follower setting.

Unread Messages (5): View a list of unread messages. Click to view the message, or right-click to select an option from the menu:
- Mark Read: Marks the message as read for all users who share the same recipient role on that message. This uses the same logic as Mark Read in My Messages.
- Msg: Let's you send a message.
- Select: Selects the associated action item.

My Action Items (6): View a summary of action items assigned to your role categorized by step. The orange Bell icon (
) indicates that an action item requires attention. Click Select beside any action item to begin working with it.
- Updates (4): Contains messages from Vantaca with announcements about new features and system changes.
- Action Center panel (5): See the following section.
Action Center Panel
The Action Center panel includes four areas that you can access by clicking the associated icon:
- Action Center (1)
- Call Center (2)
- Unreconciled Items (3)
- Scout (4)
- Hide (5): Click to hide the Action Center panel.
- Resize (6): Drag to change this panel to a different size.
Action Center
The Action Center shows details of the selected action item that you are actively working with. Your action item details remain displayed in the left panel while you simultaneously navigate on the main screen.
You can click:
- Hamburger Menu (1): To select options to step the action item, send a message, skip the item, edit, or copy it.

Paperclip icon (2): To view the action item attachments. Depending on the type of action item, you may have additional action buttons such as Approve or Decline.
Note: When viewing action items with multiple attachments, you can click a specific Paperclip icon to open that selected attachment. Attachment lists are ordered by date added (oldest to newest) for consistent presentation. - XN (3): To open the action item in the main screen and view it's details and messages.
- Association (4): To open the Action Item page for the association on the main screen.
- Owner (5): To open the Ledger for this homeowner on the main screen.
- Full Description (6): To open a screen with the full description.
Note: When you step or skip an action item, Vantaca brings up the next available item of that same action type so you can keep working. If you see the message "The remaining items in this step have already been assigned," every other action item in that step is already assigned to other users, so there are none left for you to work. This is a confirmation that prevents two people from working the same item at the same time. Those items become available to you again when they move to a different step or when new items of that action type are created.
Call Center
The Call Center can work with your phone system to answer homeowner calls and create action items.
Important: The Call Center is designed specifically for creating action items in the Call Center category (such as Homeowner Call, Board Member Call, Vendor Call, and Emergency Call). To create other action item types from any screen in Vantaca, use the New Action Item button in the application header (located beside the Company ID).

Unreconciled Items
The Unreconciled Items panel displays bank account periods that contain unreconciled items. Within each item, you can view the Bank Account's Association, Account Name, End Period, and Number of Unreconciled items.
Select any of the items to view the Accounting > Reconciliation page with the Association, Account, and End Period automatically populated with the information from your selection. As you reconcile items for the selection, the information in this panel automatically updates as you work.
If you want to exclude bank accounts from appearing in this section:
- Navigate to Association > Bank Accounts.
- Edit an existing bank account or click New Bank Account.
- Select Hide From Recon List.
- Click Update.
