Objective: Provide an explanation of view securities associated with Roles in Vantaca.
On initial setup your Vantaca database contains a handful of Roles that are provided by default as examples for typical Role Security setups. If you happen to modify one of these Roles and want to revert it back to the system default, or simply want to look at the default Role Securities for reference, attached to this article is an Excel Spreadsheet detailing role securities and the screens/actions governed by each setting in Vantaca.
***Note: The Roles > Securities database has been built to continue to grow and evolve as functionality is added/enhanced in Vantaca. This is the reason for some permissions being unused, etc.
Data is presented in the spreadsheet as shown below:
For background, the status of an individual users role security settings can be viewed/edited in the Settings > Roles screen. From here, drill into the user in question and select the Security tab. The Reports tab will allow you to determine which Reports each role has access to. By default, these are all allowed.
The Section column of the attached spreadsheet defines which section under the Roles > Security tab that the Sub-Section and Permission can be found. The Sub-Section column defines the individual security field in question. The Permission column defines the actual permissions allowed.
The Tab, Screen, Sub-Screen, and Functionality columns describe where in Vantaca that permission will allow a user to access or take action.
***Note: Some permissions give access to more than one screen in Vantaca.
