Here's a breakdown of what's included in our February 2020 Release:

Exclude Blocked Ledger from Statements
In Association > Settings, section Statements, new field “Include Block Ledger Accounts” which defaults to Yes allows users to choose on the Association level whether they want to generate statements for accounts with a Blocked Ledger. On individual owners, statements can still be pulled regardless of this setting.

Mobile iOS 13 Update
The Vantaca app has been updated to function correctly with iOS version 13.

Homeowner Payment Method
The introduction of subledgers triggered this Payment Method do-over. Instead of being a popup, Homeowners > Payment Method is a whole screen now, comparable to the Portal Auto-Draft page. Clicking Edit / Enroll will open up a popup to add or change ACH / Payment Plan information.

Savings Account Payment Option
Homeowners now have the option to pay from their Savings account.

Performance Enhancements
The following screens / functionalities now have improved performance:
- Action Items > My Action Items
- Collections
- Copying items over associations
- Portal > My Items
- Resales > Homeowner Search

Double-Click Protection
The following screens / functionalities now have protection against double-clicking:
- Bank Return process
- Lockbox Import > Payment Split
- Accounting > Budget
- Portal > Password Reset
- Association > Association List > New Association
- Invoice > Possible Duplicate > Void
- Accounting > GL Entry > New GL Entry
- Homeowners > Homeowner List > New Property
- Lockbox Import > GL Entry

My Action Items Screen Enhancements
The My Action Items screen has been made consistent with the All Action Items screen. It now has the same columns as All Action Items, it has Save Grid settings, and the Save Custom List option.

Attachment Size Increase – Part II
The following screens can now also handle 10 MB attachments instead of 4:
- Homeowner > Activity Notes;
- Portal > Board Action Items;
- Accounting > Reconciliation > Post Deposit/Expense.

Only One Budget Per GL
Screen Accounting > Budget no longer allows multiple entries for the same GL in the same budget.

Previous Owners Indication on Prepaid Report
The Prepaid Report now indicates Previous Owners with three asterisks before the account number, like other reports such as AR Aging already did.

Check Images on Action Items
The check image that is added as an attachment to Action Items after printing checks will from now on no longer show identifiable sensitive information and will have “Void” watermarks.

Statements & Coupons: International Mailing Address
International Mailing Addresses are now supported on Statements and Coupons, including 3rd parties.

Puerto Rico as State Option (Published 12/19)
Puerto Rico has been added in all state dropdowns as “PR”.

Security – Portal Recurring Payments (Published 12/22)
In the Portal Recurring eChecks screen you will now be redirected to the Homepage if you change the Payment ID in the URL to an ID that belongs to another owner.

Old Accounts in Union Bank Validation Files (Published 1/7)
Columns OldAccount and OldAccount2 have been added to the Union Bank validation file.

Association Selection (Published 1/20)
When you now enter the Association Search popup, any previous text in the Code and Nickname column will now be pre-selected so users can just start typing instead of having to delete that text.

Subledgers – Return Process Popup (Published 1/20)
The Return process popup now correctly identifies and displays subledgers.

BB&T Lockbox Improvements (Published 1/30)
A small tweak on the BB&T lockbox made it do better matching on valid owner accounts.

Subledgers – Homeowner Transaction History Report in Main App
The Transaction History Report button has been moved from the Summary tab to the Transactions tab and pulls subledger information based on the selection made.

Association Code for Optimal Outsource Letters
Letters sent from the Print Queue to Optimal Outsource will now be accompanied by the association code.

Items per Page in Lockbox Imports
Lockbox imports now have the option to show up to 1000 items per page instead of 25 max.

Alliance Updated Validation File
The AAB validation file has been updated to the bank’s latest specifications.

Standard API Provider Enhancements
Some enhancements were made to several standard Service Provider APIs to have a better communication with VIVE. The Provider List now returns all providers again, there’s a new endpoint for a single provider, fields that are not passed no longer clear data in Vantaca and creating new insurances has been fixed.

Income Statement With Sections
Two new variants of the Income Statements are now available in the Reports menu: “Income Statement with Codes (Sections)” and “Income Statement with Codes – Consolidated (Sections)”. They are similar to the regular versions (without “(Sections)”) but can display more GLs. To determine which GLs will be displayed, there’s a new column in Association > GL Accounts, “Include in Income Statement?”, where the GLs can be checked to be displayed on those reports. GLs of type Income and Expense will always show, regardless of the checkbox.

Bugfixes

Portal Autodraft Disabling (Published 1/2)
As a side effect of the introduction of subledgers, owners could no longer disable their autodrafts for non-General subledgers. This has been fixed.

Lockbox CheckImage Size (Published 1/3)
The CheckImage column for lockboxes has been increased so they can have more checks per entry.

Combine Attachments and Attachment Order (Published 1/7)
In some situations, such as with Model or Association overrides, checkbox “Combine Attachments” would not function correctly. It would not combine everything and throw overrides at the first place, regardless of the order given on the Action Type. This has been fixed.

Payment Plan Payment Duplication (Published 1/9)
In certain situations Homeowner Payment Plan payments were duplicated, which was caused by the subledger implementation. This has been fixed.

SenEarthCo One Time eCheck SSO (Published 1/15)
In some specific situations, the SenEarthCo Single Sign On (SSO) would throw a yellow error page instead of the proper redirect. This has been fixed.

Credit Distribution Causing Wrong Portal Balance (Published 1/20)
Manual allocations involving Credits now shows the whole distribution on the Portal instead of just half, and thus no longer causes balance differences between the web app and the Portal.

Returns Not Posting on Owner Ledger (Published 1/22)
Returned Owner Payments now correctly show up in the Owner Ledger and no longer cause Association out-of-balances.

SenEarthCo SSO Payments While Blocked Payments (Published 1/22)
Owners with Block Payments set can no longer make payments through the Single Sign On (SSO).

Letters Missing in Print Queue (Published 1/22)
If an Action Item is generated with a letter and a report with the Mail Format set to an Overlay method it now sends all to the print queue instead of just the report and dropping the letter.

1099A Alignments (Published 1/27)
Form 1099A (with two vendors per form) is now aligned to correctly.

Bulk Created Letters Missing in Print Queue (Published 1/28)
In certain situations, a Bulk Created Action Item could cause items to not show up in the Print Queue. This has been fixed.

Statements to Property Addresses
Action Items with the Mail Format set to All Addresses would always exclude Statements from being sent to the Property Address when there’s a different Primary Mailing Address. Now, if All Addresses is selected, the Property Address will also receive a statement.

Fine Amounts in Action Item Edit
Steps with charges/fine amounts on them have a Charge Amount field which can be manually changed to another amount, overriding the default amount. This field would show up when Stepping an Action Item or creating a new one. Now it will also show when editing an Action Item and selecting a step with a fine.

Board Portal Inspection Comments
Comments that Board Members make on Inspection Violations are now correctly saved.

“Current Resident” for Owners with more than one Property
Owners with a mailing address which is another property address would get the Property Address start with their name instead of “Current Resident”, even with the Current Resident mail format options. This has been fixed.

Old Account in NSB Validation File
The code for OldAccount and OldAccount2 for the North State Bank validation file has been restored.

Invoice Reclass Total after Expensing
Reclassing to a different total after expensing an invoice no longer causes AP and GL to get out of balance.

Portal Documents Without Property
Board members without a property in the association can now view Association Documents in the Portal.

Transfer Fail Voiding
If a transfer fails due to insufficient funds, whether through the lockbox or move payment process, it no longer voids the bank ledger items but only creates the alert notifying the management company of the failure and to make the transfer through their online banking.

Unit in Mailing Address on Coupons
Unit numbers have been added to the mailing address on coupons.

1099 Balance Import Matching
When the Provider Tax ID in the import exactly matches a Provider Tax ID in Vantaca (including dashes), this provider will now be matched correctly.

Monetary Values in Imports
All monetary values in imports can now handle formatting (commas and dollar signs) and rounds to the nearest cent when there are more than 2 decimals.

Fine Amounts on Inspection Screen
The fine amounts shown in the Inspection Review screen and the Inspection Report now reflect the correct amounts instead of always displaying the set defaults.

Incorrect GL Descriptions After Void
Invoice descriptions for voided invoices are now correctly displayed in all places.

Lockbox Commit after GL Entry
After adding / editing a GL in a lockbox import the commit would not work until you exited and re-entered the import. Now it commits without having to exit first.

Lockbox Misc Entry Descriptions
The Description field in the Lockbox Misc Entry popup will now save any changes to it.

Lockbox Import Refresh
The Lockbox Import screen now has a refresh button and also refreshes on Save Changes.

Multiple Small Lockbox Fixes
Several small issues with the lockbox import have been fixed, such as the dates on items in the file, defaulting filters to Contains, adding Sort to columns, error messages when committing if error with file, and a few more.

SenEarthCo ProviderList API
The ProviderList API for SenEarthCo now returns all providers instead of a 204 – No Content error.

VoidInvoice API with PaymentOnly = True
The VoidInvoices API now voids the GL when ran with PaymentOnly set to True.

Editing Inspection Letters
With the introduction of Multiple Mailing Addresses, the Edit Letter functionality in the Inspection Review screen broke for both the Word Add-In and the Upload button. This has been fixed. We also changed the name of the “Upload” button to “Replace Letter” (only the name, no functional change).

International City Not Saving
When the “International Address” box is checked, the City will now save correctly.

International Address Portal Display
The My Contact Info page in the Portal now displays international addresses correctly.

Provider List Search/Sort on Provider Type & Old ProviderID
In screen Service Providers > Service Provider List, sorting and filtering on columns “Provider Type” and “Old ProviderID” now works correctly instead of clearing the screen.

Variance Reports in Print Queue
Variance Report letter templates are now correctly printed alongside merged PDFs/letters.

Credit Reallocations with Keep Credit Balance
When doing a manual reallocation from a “Credit for …” which gets created for charges with “Keep Credit Balance” checked, it will now reallocate from that credit instead of from the regular Credit bucket.

Owner Ledger Credit Drilldowns
In several situations, the overview you get when drilling down on a Credit item could duplicate from other Credits, such as across subledgers or from credits tied to a charge. The totals on the Credit line would still be OK, it only affected the drilldowns. This has been fixed.

Void Comment Override with Void Invoice
If “Void Invoice” is selected when voiding an item, the void comment will now be included in the Action Item drilldown instead of just saying that the item was moved to void.

Auto-Posting Contracts on Inactive and Deleted Associations
After deleting an association or setting it to Not Live, Auto-Posting contracts will now stop posting.

Additional Action “Close Fiscal Period”
Additional Action “Close Fiscal Period” now sets “Last Fiscal Period” to the end of the last month or to the date given in the Action Item “Report End Date” if that’s filled in and is past the current Last Fiscal Period.

Email Reader Issues
In certain specific scenarios, emails would not be matched correctly to owner emails. This has been fixed.

Dual Previous Balances on Portal Ledger
In certain specific situations, Beginning Balances could get duplicated on the Portal. This fix put more protection in place to prevent that from happening.
