Enhancements - Action Item Date Range
Description:
Added a Start Date and End Date range filter to the All Action Item toolbar.
- The Start Date will default to 90 days ago.
- The End Date will be blank by default.
- The Date Range of the Action Items will be based on their Created Date.
Impact:
This new date range selector has been shown to drastically improve the performance of the Action Items page by limiting the default amount of Action Items being loaded every time you open the page.
Enhancements - Invoices
Description:
Added a warning message to the Invoice Select screen when users modify the association and then do not update the GL Details accordingly.
- The warning message will prompt the user to:
- “Please update the GL detail before approving.”
- Editing the GL Information from Service Provider > Invoices > Edit will lock the association field and display the following message:
- “Association cannot be changed once GL Detail has been added.”
Impact:
Although a minor change, this quality-of-life enhancement will provide a more streamlined process for your users when creating events and ensuring that they take place at the intended times.
Enhancements - Export Security
Description:
The Export Security screen has been moved to Settings > Roles > Security > System to maintain consistency with the rest of the system’s security settings.
Impact:
Maintaining consistency in settings throughout Vantaca will always be a goal to make the experience for our users as easy-to-use as possible. Moving the Export Security settings under the same roof as the rest of the security permissions was an obvious next step.
Enhancements - Blocked Ledger Information
Description:
Blocked ledger messages have been reworked on various Modern Portal Homeowner pages to prevent any confusion about the Amount Due.
- On the Homeowner Dashboard, the Balance for the blocked account will appear as “BLOCKED”, to indicate the ledger is blocked if all accounts for the homeowner are blocked.
- Account Balance will only reflect the total for the accounts that are not blocked if the homeowner has multiple accounts.
- The Association Setting for Block Ledger Message > My Account will be displayed on the dashboard if the homeowner has one or more blocked ledgers.

- Auto-Draft
- The Association Setting for Block Ledger Message > Auto Draft will be displayed in the section for the blocked account.
- Billing
- The Association Setting for Block Ledger Message > My Account will be displayed in the section for the blocked account.
- Credit Card
- The Association Setting for Block Ledger Message > Credit Card will be displayed in the section for the blocked account.
- One Time eCheck
- The Association Setting for Block Ledger Message > One Time eCheck will be displayed in the section for the blocked account.
- Auto-Draft
- Balance will display as “BLOCKED” for an account with a blocked ledger on the following pages:
Impact:
Before this rework, Blocked Ledgers were displaying incorrectly in the Modern Portal, which ultimately created issues. With this enhancement, we’ve worked towards consistency in the language homeowners see to prevent any chance of confusion when they’re using their Homeowner Portals.
Reports
Report Enhancements - Global Service Provider Payment Report
Description:
Added the Association Name and Association Code to the Global Service Provider Payment report for each payment record.
Impact:
This enhancement will allow you to quickly identify service providers and the associations that made the payment to them.
Corrections
Bugfixes
- Auto-waives will now be based on the Fee type charge that the fee was originally applied towards, rather than the fee amount being removed from the account in error.
- The error causing Miscellaneous Lockbox deposits to not post to the GL entered in the lockbox file has been resolved.
- The issue involving GLs being used on a model association and auto-updating the GL as Used and updating the GL codes for any additional associations following the same model has been resolved.
- Corrected the issue causing the Body Content on the Modern Portal landing page to not save and display edits accurately.
- HTML formatting will no longer appear in communications being sent via Action Items.
- Corrected the error that was inadvertently logging homeowners out of the Modern Portal after attempting to select the subject line of an Action Item.
- The issue involving the due date being set to the last payment date instead of the Due Date entered when generating three column Homeowner Statements has been resolved.
- Users will now be able to apply Add/Edit permissions for Board Collections in the Homeowner Portal.
Report Fixes
- Corrected the issue causing the Budget report to show all negative values in the Budget Values section.
- The issue involving users being able to skip the first step of the Ownership Transfer Process has been corrected and users will now see a message in the address field on the Ownership Transfer report, informing them that they have skipped the Pending Owner Transfer action item step.
- Corrected the error causing all versions of the Receivables Type Balance report to not generate properly.
- The GL Trial Balance Excel Export will now generate as expected.
- Voided conversion items will no longer be removed from the Bank Reconciliation report before the actual void date in error.
- The report will now include voided items of all types and conversion items will display on the report as “Unreconciled Items” until the period in which it was voided/void date.
- Corrected the error causing Homeowner Balances to differ between the AR Aging report and the Collections report.
